Bio

Nicholas Jimenez is a Chicano artist in several mediums including sculpture, visual design, photography, and video. More recently the City of San José, History San José, MACLA /Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana, San José State University, Fundbox, and Snapchat have used his commercial work. His personal visual artwork deals with social issues such as LGBTQ+ Rights, homelessness, immigration, religious expression, and first-generation experience. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design with a focus on product design and development from San José State University in 2021.

More recently, he has designed and developed public art for History Park in collaboration with the History San José and Quimby Oak Middle School of Lobo School of Innovation.

Moreover, he has self-published a poetry zine AWAKEBUTSTILLINBED: Miranda stares at the ceiling about his first-hand experience as a Chicano with vitiligo grappling with love, lust, depression, and self-fulfillment.
